WHAT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE MY EVENT DATE?

To secure your event date, a security deposit of $500 is required along with the rental contract. This deposit is non-refundable until AFTER the event. The deposit does NOT go toward your rental balance, however, we will return the deposit within 2 weeks after your event.


In the event of any property damage or additional or additional clean up we reserve the right to retain a portion or all of the security deposit.

HOW LARGE OF AN EVENT CAN I HAVE AT THE GALLERY?

Most events can be up to 275 (with additional courtyard rental). Your guests can utilize both floors of sundance gallery for large receptions. We have even hosted smaller dinner parties of 20 guests which are very intimate in the gallery.


The main gallery upstairs can accommodate 150+ guests for a dinner.

WHAT IS YOUR ALCOHOL POLICY?

We are licensed and insured for beer and wine. Absolutely no outside alcohol can be brought into the venue. We have a really great beer and wine selection - 3 white wines, 2 reds, 2 domestic beers, and 3-4 premium beers.
At every event, we ID those who look under 30 and reserve the right to cut off individuals who have potentially consumed too much.
Our bar closes 30 minutes before event conclusion.
Bartender to guest ratio:
<100 - 1 bartender
~ 125 - 2 bartenders
~150+ - 3+ bartenders
If you are looking to have a downstairs bar/cocktail hour for your event in addition to the upstairs bar, we will have 2 bartenders for the first 2 hours of your event, regardless of guest count.

WHAT ALL IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL?

The rental fee is for both stories of the building. We provide the tables, chairs, and set up. You will need to provide your own linens for the tables.
We will meet with you at least 2 weeks before your event and go over the layout and will have the tables set exactly where you want them when you come in.
Additional add ons not included in the rental fee would be our courtyard and bar services, and additional staff for clean up.

WHEN CAN I GET IN TO SET UP AND DECORATE FOR MY EVENT?

For dinner parties you will have 2 hours before the event to set up and 1 hour after the event to clean up. If you need additional time to set up and decorating, it is $50/hour.


For weddings, we will open as early as 9am for event decorating and vendor drop offs.

WHAT ARE YOUR CATERER REQUIREMENTS?

What many people really appreciate about sundance gallery is that you can bring in your own caterer. Many find that they "pay for the space" with what they save on catering. Caterers must have a business license and general liability insurance and be a licensed caterer. They are responsible for leaving the food prep and serving areas clean, and are responsible for the trash throughout the evening.

 

Our new renter packet has a list of preferred caterers, all which provide many different services at every price point.

If you are bringing in your own food or the caterer is only delivering the food, we will need to provide additional staff to take care of cleaning duties throughout the night. The additional staff fee is $20/hou

WHAT IS YOUR PARKING SITUATION?

No problem with the parking! Maxwell Avenue and Oregon Avenue have plenty of of spaces and the City of Greenwood lot across the street from the main entrance is available for larger parties and receptions.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT GLITTER?

Please, no glitter and no confetti. We love a beautifully decorated venue, but glitter and confetti is where we draw the line.


Open flame (candles) are okay as long as they are contained (tea lights and hurricanes).


If we have to clean glitter, confetti, or wax off the floor, fees will be deducted from your security deposit.
